Jess Thimm

Global Health Program Manager

Jess Thimm is a global health program manager with 15 years of experience managing large multi-country initiatives across Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. They specialize in program management and coordination, operations, and adaptive problem solving in complex environments. Jess has a strong record of working with team across the project lifecycle, ensuring donor and organizational compliance, budget management, and fostering collaboration across diverse teams and partners. They work closely with local leadership to co-create responsive, relevant programming that strengthens systems and delivers measurable impact.

Deeply committed to advancing locally led and community-driven development, Jess champions the transfer of decision making and skills that elevates local, national and regional expertise. They have worked with teams and local organizations to strengthen capacity, promote collective decision-making and action, and shape equitable, resilient health systems that are accessible to all. Guided by the belief that sustainable impact is rooted in locally-driven solutions and leadership, Jess continues to work on global health initiatives that prioritize equity, inclusion and resilience.

Jess Thimm holds an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

What inspires me about TAAC is the attitude of constant learning, supporting locally-led solutions backed by evidence, and centering traditionally marginalized voices in an effort to shift power, resources and accountability towards the very communities spearheading change.
