Dr. Talib Lashari
Health Policy Analysis, Population Dynamics, Research, M&E and Social Determinants of Health
Dr. Talib Lashari is a public health leader with nearly three decades of experience in health and population sectors, specializing in policy design and implementation, advocacy, accountability, and public financing. With a Master’s in Health Policy and Management from Aga Khan University, he has built a distinguished career at the intersection of policy advocacy, health systems strengthening, and public financing—helping governments and partners design, implement, and sustain reform agendas that advance equitable health outcomes. He convened multi-stakeholder processes that led to major health sector reforms in Pakistan—most notably rights-based family planning and SRHR initiatives under FP2020/FP2030 in Sindh—recognized for their impact and sustainability. He has worked across public, private, and donor-funded programs, and brings proven expertise in resource mobilization, including designing and negotiating grants and loans with bilateral and multilateral agencies. As the author of a book on health policy and numerous publications, Dr. Lashari has presented his work in more than 25 countries and contributed to global platforms such as FP2030 and the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health, applying strong leadership, coalition- and team-building, results-oriented approach and grassroots social accountability experience to advance equitable health systems.
