Sara Stratton
Public Health Expert (Health Systems Strengthening, Service delivery, Policy and Advocacy)
Sara Stratton is a public health professional with expertise in health systems strengthening, service delivery, policy analysis and development, and advocacy and accountability for sexual and reproductive health/family planning, menstrual health, and adolescent health. Sara has supported management of projects in countries across Africa and Southeast Asia and provided technical assistance to ministries of health around policy, advocacy, family planning costed implementation, and services guidelines and standards development. She has written guidance on developing and executing evidence-based costed implementation plans for family planning, advocacy and joint accountability. Sara is committed to bringing diverse voices into policy development processes, especially young people. She values direct engagement with local communities, organizations, and faith institutions to conceptualize and implement health programs that respond to their needs and contribute to fostering more resilient health systems. Since 2015, Sara has served as a member of the HIP Technical Advisory Group and is active in the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition. Sara holds a master’s in public health from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.
